I've used many tires and this, as I think, they perform. Wet and dry traction is excellent. Lateral traction is excellent on dry. On wet road surface it's also excellent in straight acceleration and braking, although lateral traction is far from perfect on wet road and on slightly slippery road. The good things about this tire are its cost, it has a great dry grip and stability with good steering sensitivity. It is also very quiet. The downsides are only the traction rating (Best AA) which means it is not exceptional on wet pavement, and inadequate cornering and wheel spinning is easily provoked in these conditions. I previously had the first Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 on the fronts, amazing grip but soft compound and wore out quickly. Then I went with the good grip Toyo Proxi T1-S, not as grippy as the Goodyear but again soft compound and wore out after 8,000 miles on the fronts. My car came equipped with 3 of them on the rear and 2 Yokohama S306's installed on the front. The Yokos were almost new. I managed to get a puncture in one of the fronts so I replaced them both with NS-2's a couple of years ago. Compared to the Yokos these tires lack grip in both wet and dry conditions, however they are quieter and more comfortable. Not bad traction in dry, but not brilliant either. Good wear characteristics, and quite good on uneven surfaces, but on wet pavement it's scary, like driving on ice. I couldn't recommend this tire because of this. Even if you're a normal driver you may find yourself needing to brake in an emergency situation, and you need all the traction you can get.

Good on dry, lethal on wet roads. Avoid. The tire is a ditchfinder in these conditions. I think it's because the rubber is too hard, it doesn't give good grip on wet roads.

Good grip in dry conditions when accelerating or making quick turns. In the wet, of course, it has less grip, but compared to the old Wanli S1099, it has more power. A good, inexpensive tire for dry conditions, but .... due to taking quick turns, one of my tires (front left) began to chunk on the sidewall. Although it has good grip, there will be no more Nankangs for me.

They grip fairly well in the dry, although nothing exceptional. In the wet, however, the traction is very poor. The car scrabbles like a dog on a wet linoleum when pulling away. They also appear to wear fairly quickly. Cheap to buy initially, but not good value if you consider the performance and wear intensity.

This tire has a fairly good, if not exceptional, dry grip, but the hard rubber compound means that on wet surfaces it may let the tire down, although they are better than most tires of similar price. The tires are quiet and comfortable, but seem to wear fairly quickly. Good as budget tires, but as performance tires they are not so hot.

A good tire on dry roads, and very quiet, but the grip on wet roads is very poor, especially when starting from a standstill and on turns. I couldn't recommend it because of this, even with competitive pricing.
