I bought them in the hopes that we would see a repeat of the heavy snowfall of the past couple of winters, but it's not snow, so I can't comment on how they perform on a snow-covered road. What I can say is that they are noticeably better than standard tyres in cold and wet conditions. Overall, I would say they are a good balance of price and quality.

Excellent tire for the money, dry traction is very good, and equal to any budget summer tire. Wet/snow traction far exceeds any summer tire. Wear is good, and I see no reason for their changes in English winters. Extremely highly recommended.

Only a little snow this winter, though still below 7 degrees Celsius most days.... Didn't test in heavy snowfall though, though nothing to show good results in slush! These tires are very aggressive in cold and wet conditions.

Very good tires. Very comfortable, very good on snow, stability less than regular tires, but very good for winter tires. I haven't made an emergency stop so I don't know this characteristic.

These tires are cheap, and that's what you get. They're terrible at dry conditions, let alone wet ones. Very noisy and uncomfortable. They might be passable if you have a small, slow car, and you're not planning on going anywhere if it's raining. Plus, just remember to buy proper tires.

Extremely happy with the tyres. A tad above the average winter temperature, for instance many spells above 8Deg C. The Tires were very good. In snow, it's well known that the Mondeo works very well with standard tyres. Nevertheless, I felt a great deal safer and was able to make good progress in the snow with these tyres.

Not quite a test of wet grip and braking in 4 months of thorough small mileage. Just one day of snow that showed its ability to be better than my summer tyres. Very comfortable and quiet - compares well to my summer Michelin. Steering not as sharp on fast gravel roads - feels a bit vague at the edges - look out for this! Tyres behave on highways and motorways as they should.

Worked well for what I bought tires for; to keep me moving in the snow, and honestly I think these tires made more difference than the 4 wheel drive. No noticeable drop in gas mileage and worked well on both dirt roads and highways.

The pair fitted to my Zafira before the snow fell, as I live in a housing development that has a fairly steep hill. These tyres are big, took the car out to test on 8 inches of snow and could go anywhere. If you give the car too much power too quickly they spin a little, but getting it to leave and stop was brilliant. The only other cars I saw on the road that day were 4x4's

In-situ circumferential for Winter 2011 After the car was rendered unsuitable for use the previous UK winter, they transformed it into one that inspired confidence regardless of the conditions. For what they cost, I highly recommend them to those who want to venture out when winter closes in with inches. Can't wait for next winter now!
