Quality-meets-price.

Deciding between Yokohama A001 and Continental, I ended up with the Continental. Really great tyres for a reasonable price. The handling is amazing. It barely skids even when trying to exit a corner at a reasonable speed. The side wind bothers me much less now. Drives like it's dry in the rain. Passes puddles great. Quieter than I expected.

I spent a long time choosing tires for my old Rio, and in the end, I went with Road Runner (175/70 R13 82H). The main argument was the price-to-quality ratio, and the reviews from acquaintances also influenced my decision. The first impression is that they are soft, and you can drive over curbs without any extra shock. In the city, the handling has become more pleasant, the car doesn't throw you off the track. On the highway, at speeds of up to 110, they behave stably, above that, there's a slight hum, but you quickly get used to it.

As for fuel consumption, I haven't noticed any changes, but the engine seems to be running more smoothly, as if the load is less. On wet asphalt, acceleration is without wheelspin, which is important for such a car. I've driven on dirt roads a couple of times - it doesn't slip, it pulls normally. Compared to the "no-name" tires I had before, these are like a different level.

The Road Runner was taken as some kind of compromise. Both comfort and wear resistance were needed. This tire pleasantly surprised - on the Ford Fusion, the ride is comfortable, there is no wobble, as was the case with other tires. It absorbs small bumps, and the cabin becomes quieter. I tried driving out of town - on gravel, it holds the course. On the highway at 110 km/h, it maintains stability. In traffic jams, the car moves smoothly, without jerking. When braking sharply, it holds the road. Out of town, I got into a small rain - they did not fail, the grip is stable. So, for its price - more than.
