Summer tyre Vredestein Ultrac+ is designed for passenger cars. During the development of this model, primary attention was given to wear resistance and comfort during everyday driving. To achieve this, an updated tread compound, a contact patch with even pressure distribution, and sidewalls with an enlarged flexible zone have been implemented.
Tread life
The rubber compound is engineered to reduce abrasion and extend tread life. This is complemented by a contact patch close to square in shape. Even pressure distribution across the tread surface helps prevent load concentration on specific areas and promotes more uniform wear of the tread.
Ride comfort
The sidewall design features an enlarged zone capable of elastic deformation when driving over road irregularities. Wall thickness and the height of the filler cord in the bead area have been specifically selected. This combination allows the tyre to absorb road bumps more smoothly and enhances ride comfort.
Tread pattern
The tread features an asymmetric design. Four longitudinal grooves divide it into three central ribs and two shoulder zones. The ribs are equipped with slanted sipes of varying lengths, while the shoulder areas are cut by transverse grooves that extend to the edges of the tread. The longitudinal channels run continuously around the entire circumference of the tyre and form the basis of the water evacuation system from the contact patch.
