The Pirelli Powergy summer tire suits most passenger cars and, in terms of its operational properties, their owners. It is distinguished by reliable traction on dry and wet roads, sports-tuned handling, resistance to aquaplaning, and effective braking.

The tread of the tire is made from a rubber compound based on silicon dioxide. The use of this substance in the form of a fine dispersion and advanced production methods ensure the uniformity of the compound, which further increases the tire's grip on wet roads. In addition, its composition includes special polymers. With their help, the rubber compound has high strength and resistance to tearing and stretching at the molecular level. This significantly increases the tire's mileage before replacement, thanks to its resistance to abrasive wear, punctures, and cuts.

The tire is distinguished by its low tendency to aquaplaning, which is ensured by several design features of its tread. One of them is the increased width of the longitudinal drainage grooves. They almost instantly divert a large volume of water from the contact patch. They are connected to transverse grooves that are directed at an aggressive angle against the direction of movement. This solution additionally enhances resistance to hydroplaning, using the rotation of the wheel for this purpose.

The longitudinal ribs located in the central part are massive and rigid elements that are very resistant to deformation. They improve handling accuracy and directional stability, reduce rolling resistance, and prevent uneven wear.
