Nordman 7

The Nokian Nordman 7 winter tire is offered in 24 sizes for wheels with a rim diameter of 13 to 17 inches. Like its predecessors, the model is designed for modern passenger cars, but at the same time, it surpasses them in terms of handling and traction on winter roads, driving comfort. This is ensured through the use of modern technologies.

Multifunctional shoulder blocks

The blocks located in the shoulder areas have beveled edges with numerous notches, and therefore can perform several functions. The main one is to ensure transverse stability when maneuvering. In turn, the notches on the edges of the blocks are drainage grooves that expel water, snow, and its mixture with road slush from the contact patch.

Several types of lamellas

The tire's tread is equipped with lamellas of several types. Most of them are self-locking, thanks to the three-dimensional configuration of their side walls. In addition to them, the tread contains so-called "reinforcing lamellas". These elements increase the height of the edges of the engagement formed by the ordinary 3D lamellas, which increases the tire's performance on icy surfaces.

"Bear Claw"

The tire uses the Bear Claw technology. Its essence lies in ensuring the vertical position of the spike when contacting the road surface. This is achieved due to the longitudinal extension of the block in which it is located.

"Air Claw"

This model is characterized by a low noise level for studded tires. Acoustic comfort is provided by the presence of special cavities in the front part of the block in which the spike is installed. Directly under its anchor part, there is a cavity. It reduces the impact on the spike when contacting the road surface.
