The choice of tires before buying, as always, is based on one principle - how to get reasonable quality for acceptable money. Tires that are no longer of interest. Of course, it's worth noting that top winter tires, such as Michelin X-Ice NORTH 4, have never been cheap, but now they are even more expensive. Nevertheless, these are the best tires and there will always be a buyer for them. At the same time, there are options from the same Michelin company that should play in the budget segment. These are options like Tigar, Kormoran, and Riken. Under sanction pressure, such tires have become more expensive, and therefore, they are not very interesting. These are not flagship models and they never were. They were a good option for their money, but that's in the past. 

Cordiant
The Cordiant brand tires have proven themselves well among affordable tires. Among buyers, there are complaints about premature tire failure due to rust on the breker layers or appearance of bulges. Such cases do occur, but often they are related to violations during operation. In addition, the company considers appeals and in case of controversial issues regarding quality, compensates for the cost of tires. There is no shortage in production, since, according to the company, they successfully reoriented themselves to supplying raw materials from available countries. So you can safely consider buying these tires. 

Nordman
Of course, the tires from the IKON company deserve special attention. Once "connoisseurs of the north" went with a new name and this is a completely correct move. The company releases affordable tires Nordman 8 and Nordman 7, and they also launched the once-cult Nordman 5 tire. All these models were flagship and tore everyone apart in tire tests. You can and should definitely consider buying them. 

Formula
Now it's worth considering tires not only for their availability today but also for the principle of whether they will be available tomorrow. Maybe you'll need to replace one or two tires. The main thing is that such an opportunity is available. Formula brand tires are just that. The already known Formula Ice with studs and the non-studded Formula Ice Friction model show themselves well on winter roads for a reasonable price. 

Made in China
Of course, it's impossible to ignore the abundance of new Chinese brands. Our compatriots are skeptical about Chinese quality. 10 years ago, this was justified, but not today. The Chinese industry is rightly considered one of the most advanced. It's reasonable to note that Chinese tire manufacturers don't have innovations and breakthrough technologies. This is indeed true, but they never positioned themselves that way. So, tires from well-known and largest manufacturers should definitely be considered. It's worth choosing, of course, according to the principle of large-scale production. A great example is the Windforce brand.
