Description Kormoran Ultra High Performance
The Kormoran Ultra High Performance summer tire is designed for the most powerful versions of passenger cars. Developed by specialists from the Michelin company, which includes this Polish brand. The model replaced the not very popular Gamma b2. The novelty differs in a completely redesigned tread pattern and a number of internal changes. In addition, it is offered in a wider range of sizes, including options for wheels with a rim diameter of 19 inches.
High efficiency on wet surfaces
The tire's tread is equipped with an extremely efficient drainage system. It is based on four longitudinal grooves, two of which, located in the center, are distinguished by a significant width. The high performance of similar elements adjacent to the shoulder zones is ensured by the adjacent transverse grooves. They also have a large width, and, in addition, are made in an original curved shape. Such a design provides very fast water removal from the contact patch, which minimizes the risk of aquaplaning at almost any speed.
Continuous longitudinal rib in the center
Massive sizes also distinguish the longitudinal rib that runs exactly along the center of the tread. This element is made solid, which guarantees high resistance to deformation. At high speeds, this feature manifests itself in the form of excellent directional stability and high handling responsiveness.
Key features of Kormoran Ultra High Performance
- Asymmetric tread provides excellent handling and traction at high speeds;
- Very wide longitudinal grooves in the center minimize the risk of aquaplaning;
- Wide shoulder blocks on the outside provide traction during maneuvering, and on the inside - efficiency during acceleration and braking.
