The Interstate Sport SUV GT passenger summer tire from the renowned Dutch manufacturer is designed for powerful SUVs, crossovers, and other vehicles in the SUV category, which are primarily operated on roads with solid surfaces.
The design of the non-directional symmetric tread pattern has an original appearance and features a number of interesting solutions. The tread pattern is equipped with three central ribs and two wide shoulder areas, separated by four longitudinal water drainage grooves. The longitudinal rib located in the center of the tread has no interruptions throughout its entire length, which made it possible to achieve excellent directional stability when driving at high speeds, as well as reduce the tire's response time to steering wheel rotation. The two adjacent ribs contain several solutions that significantly improve the basic working characteristics of the Interstate Sport SUV GT tire. Firstly, these ribs are divided into blocks by transverse water drainage grooves. At the same time, the grooves located on the side of the central rib have a curved shape, which contributes to the enhancement of water circulation in the tire's contact patch. Additionally, the placement of tread elements on these ribs with a variable pitch has significantly reduced the noise level.
Also, when developing the design of the tread pattern of this tire, much attention was paid to the fight against aquaplaning, for which the tread pattern of the tire was equipped with four longitudinal water drainage grooves, which, due to the highly efficient removal of water from the contact patch, added safety and stability to the behavior when driving on wet roads, even at high speeds.
It is impossible not to note the reinforced design of the shoulder areas, the large width of which provided the tire with excellent grip on the road when cornering, and their rounded profile is an excellent means of combating uneven wear.
Another distinctive feature of this tire is the unique design of the rim, which provides a high level of protection for large-diameter disks.
