The summer model Ikon Autograph Aqua 3 SUV is produced at the Russian Nokian plant, which is already a guarantee of its quality. The tire is installed on four-wheel drive SUVs, urban crossovers, and pickups, providing excellent grip on asphalt and the ability to overcome light off-road conditions.

Large tread blocks are separated by deep channels with smooth edges and a conical shape. This achieves effective self-cleaning and resistance to hydroplaning. The overall tread structure combines a multi-layered frame and large block elements. This allows it to withstand loads, including point loads, while maintaining integrity and extending the lifespan. The block-formed ribs in the central area contribute to precise steering at high speeds and sensitive maneuverability. Wide sidewalls act as stabilizers during turns, preventing lateral skidding. The use of an original compound with a significant percentage of silica has had a positive impact not only on traction properties but also on overall wear, reducing it to minimal levels.

Technologies

The Dry Touch 3.0 concept

Increased volume of primary grooves, along with other design innovations, maximizes water evacuation. Swoop grooves positioned on center ribs efficiently remove water between the tire and the road. The tread's patented shoulder design, utilizing Coanda technology, accelerates water evacuation from the contact patch.

Silent Multizone tread pattern design

The tread block shape and regular tread block distribution on the inner and outer shoulders of the tire were precisely optimized around the tire's circumference. The new tread pattern eliminates the annoying noise, making driving more comfortable, especially on rough asphalt. The tread block distribution also provides more even tread wear.

Nokian Tyres Coanda

When liquid, such as water, meets a curved surface, it will attempt to follow this surface. This phenomenon, known as the Coanda effect, means that water can be directed to follow the curvature of the surface rather than flowing in a straight line. When a tyre meets a large amount of water, more than it can disperse, aquaplaning occurs. Tread Wear and Aquaplaning Indicator

The NOKIAN TYRES Hakka Blue 3 tyres are equipped with a Safety Indicator (DSI) which helps in controlling the tyre replacement schedule. The wear indicator shows the remaining tread depth in millimeters. The numbers disappear one by one as the tyre wears out.

Aramid Sidewall and Stone Retread

The foundation of the technology is the aramid fibre, which is part of the tyre sidewall rubber compound. The same material is used in the aerospace and defence industries. Stone ejectors on the main grooves prevent sharp stones from becoming stuck in the tread and penetrating the structure. By preventing damage to the tyre casing, stone ejectors increase the tyre's lifespan.

Treadwear Off-Road Claws

Tread lugs in the shoulder area of the tire provide the necessary traction for heavy-duty off-road vehicles. The special tread lugs on the shoulders of the tire improve traction to the road when accelerating and braking, preventing the vehicle from losing control on sand and soft road surfaces.
