The tread compound is made from a rubber mixture with a high silica content and the use of natural rubber. This allows the tire to maintain elasticity even at extremely low temperatures and maintain integrity during prolonged high-speed driving. The V-shaped tread pattern features a large number of drainage grooves. Their reverse direction and increased volume allow water and even heavier meltwater to be drained from the contact patch. On particularly slippery surfaces, efficiency is provided by "three-dimensional" lamellas. Narrow slits form sharp edges that allow the tire to grip even the smallest irregularities.
