The summer tire Hankook K137A Ventus evo SUV was specifically designed to be installed on a wide range of all-wheel drive crossovers and SUVs. To this end, it is produced in a large size range, allowing you to choose the optimal option for any car.
The model from the well-known South Korean manufacturer was developed using advanced technologies, which were reflected in the optimization of its performance characteristics. Among them is the improved grip with a wet road surface. This aspect was implemented due to several factors at once. Firstly, the special shape of the contact surface of the tread elements. They provide a denser contact with the road, minimizing the formation of voids. Secondly, a special compound with polymeric additives of a new generation guarantees a high degree of elasticity and stability of fixation with a wet surface. As a result, the tire demonstrates an improved braking performance in rainy weather by 7% (compared to analogues).
To maintain directional stability and provide maneuverability, three central ribs are provided. They, together with wide shoulder blocks, form an enlarged contact patch, the action of which has a positive effect on the improvement of acceleration and braking properties. Also, on the surface of the elements, there are grooves with sharp edges, which reduce the risk of aquaplaning, quickly cutting through the water film.
On the edges of many elements, a special chamfer is located, which, under load, provides more efficient friction. The result is an improvement in acceleration and braking properties on dry asphalt and a high level of control over the car's behavior.
The rubber compound has also affected the increase in the model's service life. Special additives reduce abrasive wear, maintaining elasticity at various temperature regimes. This has affected an increase in mileage by 32%.
