The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 summer tire meets the demands of most passenger car owners. This model is distinguished by improved traction on wet surfaces, stability and precision in handling at high speeds, increased mileage before replacement, and good fuel efficiency.

The tread compound is made from a rubber mixture that combines elasticity, flexibility, and mechanical strength. The use of special polymers and an increased amount of "silica" has allowed the tread's resistance to abrasive wear to be increased to the point where the tires last for at least two seasons with high mileage. This compound provides additional softness and acoustic comfort, damping the impact of road irregularities.

The tread pattern contains a large number of transverse edges. They provide the tire with the ability to accelerate and decelerate intensively. At the same time, the elasticity of the rubber mixture adds mobility to the tread blocks, which further improves longitudinal traction.

The central part of the tread features wide continuous longitudinal ribs. The increased stiffness of these elements improves handling accuracy and directional stability, providing a significant part of the driving comfort at high speeds.
