Continental ContiIceContact
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Continental ContiIceContact
In Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Russia, cars require enhanced traction when driving on winter roads.
This is even more relevant to driving on ice than on a snowy road, which requires tires to have good traction and a soft rubber compound that remains elastic even at low temperatures.
Starting from autumn 2010, the Continental product range will be supplemented with a new product - the Continental ContiIceContact tire, specifically designed for harsh conditions. Created for passenger and all-wheel drive vehicles, the tire has better traction than its predecessors, thus providing greater safety in extremely harsh winter conditions.
The new winter tire is universal for vehicles from compact to business class, as well as for all-wheel drive vehicles.
The main advantages and differences of the Continental ContiIceContact tire
— Maximum traction on ice thanks to innovative stud technology;
— Excellent handling on winter roads as a result of the asymmetrical tread design;
— A special rubber compound that increases traction throughout the life of the tire.
ContiIceContact tire sizes
— radii from 13 to 20 inches;
— profiles from 40 to 80%;
— applicability not only for passenger cars but also for SUVs.
Starting from autumn 2010, the ContiWinterViking 1 and 2, as well as Conti4x4IceContact tires will be completely replaced by the ContiIceContact line.

205/55/R16. Rode the season 5-6t. km. I'm completely satisfied with my choice, like an elephant! The tire is amazing, both in warm weather and in harsh frost. The grip is excellent, whether on a curve, asphalt, or ice. The traction is great, I even drove specifically to a field with 12-15 cm of snow, and didn't get stuck anywhere, the tire bit through the snow very confidently. The tire's wear

Excellent tyres - reliable and predictable on both asphalt in the city and on ice/snow. At first very noisy, but as the tyres wore in the noise significantly decreased and became typical tyre noise. Very insensitive to uneven road surfaces. I drove at speeds up to 160 km/h - the road holding is excellent. Minus - one thing: despite the fact that this model has a reinforced tread with additional adhesive and the force required to pull out

Hello, friends. Maybe my review will be helpful in choosing winter tires. I bought ContiIceContact tires with studs, 205/65 15, when my car ran up 112,000 km (in 2010). What I immediately noticed was that they are quite quiet, which means they are comfortable. Handling on asphalt is "super" just like in summer. The steering is clear and adequate. I really liked them. I noticed that the studs fall off after

- On ice, the ContiIceContact tires are excellent. Acceleration and braking are the best in the test, and the balance of snow and ice handling on the ice track is as if you're driving a four-wheel drive car.
On snow, the tires are also good, only the not always appropriate slight tendency to oversteer of the rear axle did not allow to get the highest score for handling reliability.
On asphalt, the coupling properties are at a medium level. At the first impulse, the tires respond sluggishly, but then they hold the loads well. The sound accompaniment during such maneuvers is very intrusive, the tires are quite noisy even on a straight line, and in turns, the hum intensifies.
These tires hold impact perfectly. And the studs in them hold up to the end.
