The Continental ContiEcoContact 6 summer tire is designed for the widest range of car owners. This model is offered in over a hundred sizes with diameters from 13 to 22 inches. Compared to the previous model, this tire has significantly improved resistance to wear and fuel efficiency. This is largely due to the use of the latest 2nd generation GreenChili rubber compound in the tread. The key feature of the compound is the use of new polymer compounds. They significantly strengthen the molecular bonds between other components of the rubber mixture. As a result, the tread elements deform less when subjected to multidirectional acceleration forces. This reduces heat and fuel consumption, and also allows the tread to more effectively resist abrasive wear.
Several design options for the tread pattern
Depending on the size, the tire is offered with different tread pattern designs. The central part can have from three to five longitudinal ribs. These elements are solid, which, combined with their massive size, significantly increases resistance to deformation. This significantly reduces rolling resistance and uneven wear, and also improves handling accuracy. These properties are enhanced as the tread width increases, allowing the tire to adapt to increasing loads.

Another feature of this model is the increased precision and stability of the traction properties. This is achieved by two design factors.
