The Pirelli PZero GEN-2 Luxury Saloon summer tire is designed for premium brand passenger cars. It is positioned by the manufacturer as a model that combines sporty handling and excellent grip with a high level of comfort, including a soft ride. This set of operational properties was achieved through the use of a number of the latest technologies, including those from road-ring racing tires.

The balance of this model is largely ensured by the asymmetric tread pattern. It features large blocks that increase the useful area of the tread and, consequently, the contact patch, which has a positive effect on grip and handling, especially on dry pavement. The tread elements are spaced relatively far apart, which, in combination with the special design of the drainage grooves and lamellas, minimizes the risk of resonant noise and vibrations.

The composition of the rubber compound is based on silicon dioxide. The fine particles of this substance provide the tread with elasticity at low temperatures. As a result, the tire becomes very grippy, especially on wet pavement. Special polymers and a special component mixing technology increase the strength of the compound against rupture and stretching, as well as enhance its ability to conduct heat. This increases the reliability of the tire, its mileage, and also reduces rolling resistance.
