Tata Tigor – a sedan from an Indian manufacturer, which was introduced in 2016, and its full-fledged production started in 2017. The basis for the car was the platform used for the previous "Tiago" model.

Technical features

The model, belonging to the budget class, is equipped with "MacPherson" struts at the front and a twisting beam at the rear. The front brakes are represented by discs, and the rear - by "drum" brakes. Several engine options are installed under the hood. A 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine can deliver 85 hp and 114 Nm at its peak. It is complemented by a five-speed "mechanics" or a 5-position "automatic". A 1.1-liter diesel engine with a Common Rail system is also available, delivering 70 hp and 140 Nm. It is complemented only by a manual transmission.

Note that the car is oriented only to the domestic market of the country, so it is equipped with a right-hand drive. Despite this factor, the price factor has done its job, and the model can often be found in many countries of the world, including the Russian sector.

Update

In 2018, the model underwent a restyling, which changed the front optics and radiator grille. A new multimedia system appeared in the saloon, based on a 7-inch touch screen. The seats were also modernized, and the ergonomics of the saloon changed.

In 2019, an electric version of the car appeared, which was intended for commercial use as a taxi. The range on a single charge was 213 km. Moreover, it was the cheapest electric car. In 2022, the model was updated again, equipped with a more capacious battery, providing a range of up to 315 km.
