The engine range started with the Hemi V8 with a volume of 5.7 liters, with a power of 383 hp and a torque of 542 Nm. An alternative to it was a 6.7-liter diesel engine, developing 350 hp and 880 Nm. The pickup was equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, which at that time was a unique offer in the class. A 6-speed "automatic" Aisin was offered for an additional fee.

Updated Version

At the turn of 2018-2019, the North American manufacturer presented an updated version of the pickup. It was distinguished by the use of a modernized frame, which is almost entirely made of high-strength steel, reducing weight and increasing the stiffness of the structure for bending and torsion. The suspension was significantly updated, with the appearance of springs with a variable winding pitch. The 5.7-liter engine, which was the "base" engine for the predecessor, was removed from the engine range. Instead, its 6.4-liter version is used without any significant changes - 416 hp and 582 Nm with the function of turning off four of the eight cylinders when working with a low load. This power unit is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF. Also, versions with a 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engine are preserved in the range, in a modernized version, which differs from the predecessor in a reduced weight of 60 kg and increased power of 375 hp and 1152 Nm. This engine works in a "pair" with a 6-speed "automatic" of its own design. An even more powerful version of it is offered, developing 406 hp and 1356 Nm. It, in turn, is combined with a 6-range automatic transmission from Aisin. The pickup has a rear-wheel drive as standard equipment. The all-wheel drive system is offered for an additional fee, and there is an opportunity to choose the type of control of the transfer case. In addition to the electronic one with buttons, a classic mechanical version is offered using a special lever. The all-wheel drive system is part of the Power Wagon version, along with an increased ground clearance, disconnectable stabilizers of transverse stability, and lockable inter-wheel differentials.

Another important difference from the predecessor was the salon, which, with the exception of some details, was taken from the pickup with the index 1500. It is distinguished by a color display between the instrument panel scales, a 12-inch "tablet" of the multimedia system on the front console, and a round handle for controlling the transmission and gearbox. The multimedia system already has a function of active noise reduction in the standard configuration, which, along with the use of additional insulation, provides the pickup with "car" acoustic comfort. Another addition was the appearance of a system of circular review with the possibility of connecting another camera installed on a trailer, as well as a "cruise" with the function of changing the speed of movement depending on the distance to the vehicle in front, including automatic braking.
