In 1994, the second generation appeared, which was supplemented with a diesel engine with a turbine (in addition to the existing gasoline engines). In addition, changes occurred in the cabin, which affected the comfort of the driver and passengers (more space, a separation bar on the front seat, a digital odometer, etc.). Models with a V10 engine were also introduced.

The third generation is a complete rethinking of the pickup truck design. Against this background, the company also changed the name of the models to 1500, 2500, and 3500. In 2006, a new cabin, the Mega Cab, was introduced, which stood out for its capacity to accommodate 6 people. In addition, changes affected the body, drive, transmission, and overall exterior of the car.

The 4th generation, which started in 2008, was expanded with new models - 4500 and 5500.

Separation from Dodge

In 2010, the management of the parent company decided to take a course towards a younger audience. Therefore, the brutal pickups did not fit into the overall concept. As a result, Ram was allocated to a separate brand. This happened in 2011. As part of the new manufacturer, the production of minivans, the Ram ProMaster, was also launched. This model is known worldwide under a number of names from other companies - Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato, Citroen Jumper.

The absence of official representative offices of the company in the Russian sector did not become an obstacle for domestic car enthusiasts.
