Nevertheless, unification with other cars of the Fiat concern did not pass. In particular, adaptive Sachs shock absorbers were borrowed from the Maserati Spyder. Together with a very rigid body, this provided a sufficiently heavy sedan with a smooth ride even on poor roads, along with the "signature" for Italian cars sports-tuned handling. This set was complemented by a power range, at the top of which was a 3.2-liter V6 gasoline engine, developing 230 hp, and the base versions offered in-line "fives", including turbocharged power units. Depending on the version, they worked in "pair" with 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmissions. 16- and 17-inch discs and tires were standard for this sedan.
