The Lancia Phedra was produced from 2002 to 2014 and was the brand's attempt to show that a family minivan could combine not only practicality but also the Italian brand's signature penchant for comfort and beautiful details. The top of the range was the 3.0 V6 ES9 gasoline engine, equipped with an electronic throttle and delivering smooth traction throughout the entire rev range.

The transmissions were 5- and 6-speed manual, as well as the Aisin automatic. The braking system included ventilated discs at the front, a self-diagnostic ABS with EBD force distribution and an algorithm that adjusted to changes in the vehicle's mass. The sound insulation was enhanced due to the use of multi-layer floor panels, vibration-damping sheets, and additional sealing of the engine compartment, providing a noticeably quieter atmosphere than the platform "brothers".
