Tires on Jeep (Джип)
The American automobile brand Jeep belongs to the transnational corporation Stellantis. Since 1987, it has been a division of Chrysler, when this company acquired the rights to the brand, along with other assets, from the previous owner - American Motors Corporation. Currently, the brand's products are represented exclusively by off-road vehicles and crossovers, as well as one pickup truck. Two-thirds of the brand's vehicles find their buyers in North America.History
The application for registration of the Jeep trademark was filed by the company Willys-Overland in February 1943. In parallel with this, an advertising campaign was launched, highlighting the company's outstanding contribution to the creation of the "jeep", which helped win the war. This was met with discontent from Bantam, a company that developed one of the variants of the full-wheel drive military vehicle, widely used for reconnaissance and other army tasks. The conflict did not receive widespread coverage, thanks to the flexibility shown by Willys-Overland, but at the same time did not abandon plans to commercialize the extremely versatile "jeep". Serial production of cars with nameplates using this term began in 1945. At the same time, the full name of the brand was Civilian Jeep. Being the only company that produced "jeeps" after the war, Willys-Overland ultimately managed to register the rights to the brand. This happened in 1950. By this time, the company was actively using this trademark, releasing a whole line of all-wheel drive cars, including a light truck. However, this did not save it from financial difficulties, due to which control over Willys-Overland was acquired by Kaiser Motors. By the end of 1955, it had completely abandoned the development of a line of passenger cars, focusing on the production of exclusively "jeeps". It again proved to be unprofitable by the end of the 1960s, as a result of which Kaiser was absorbed by American Motors Corporation, which, in addition to restructuring new assets, carried out standardization of the components used in the production of Jeep, which significantly reduced the cost. More attractive prices for these off-road vehicles allowed in 1976 to sell more than 100 thousand copies of fairly niche cars and get the means for further development. Part of it went to the development of Cherokee, one of the most successful models of the brand. Only in 1985 did it find more than 200 thousand buyers. In 1987, AMC was acquired by Chrysler, and Jeep became the only brand that the new owner continued to develop, despite the catastrophic financial situation.Currently, Jeeps are produced under license by various companies around the world, including, for example, the Indian company Mahindra, which uses the oldest platforms, direct heirs to the military off-road vehicles of the 1940s. Another example is Mitsubishi, which from 1953 to 1998 released in Japan more than 30 models using the same solutions in the design as in the CJ-3B, developed back in Kaiser Motors.
Model Range
Currently, the brand's product line is divided into two categories - off-road vehicles and crossovers. The first includes Wagoneer and Wrangler, legendary models of the brand, production of which began in 1963 and 1986, respectively. The crossover line is much more numerous. These are 5 models, differing in size and engine range. However, almost each of them has a special modification that expands the capabilities of these cars off paved roads. The Gladiator pickup truck is worth noting separately. The not-too-well-known model outside of North America is a Wrangler with a larger body. To fully realize the potential of these cars, it is necessary to correctly choose tires. These tires can be easily found and purchased at the "Mosavtoshina" online store.Advantages of selecting tires for Jeep on our website
