Tires on Holden Commodore (Холден)

Holden Commodore – a car from an Australian manufacturer that began its assembly line journey in 1978. The model was produced for several decades, going through four generations. Its production ended in 2017.

Historical Background

The first generation of the car was built on the basis of the Opel Rekord. Notably, the German manufacturer supplied "bases" for the "Commodore" until 2006. The car had many common features from the German "donor" and was rear-wheel drive. The range of engines was quite wide, from 1.9 to 5.0 liters. Similarly, the equipment was determined by the configuration.

In 1988, the second generation appeared, which also differed in the abundance of power units, starting from 2 and ending with 5.7 liters. The basis was the platform from Opel Senator V and Opel Omega A. Due to this, the car significantly increased in size, receiving a more spacious salon.

The third generation, which appeared in 1997, had a German platform from Opel Omega at its base. The car received power units with a displacement of 3.6-5.7 liters. The equipment became richer, and the salon more spacious.

In 2006, a new generation appeared, the distinctive feature of which was a self-developed platform. The manufacturer equipped the car with a fully independent suspension, as well as ensured an almost ideal weight distribution of 50:50. This made it possible to significantly improve the maneuverability of the transport. The engines were transferred from the previous generation, with the exception of the V8.

For our country, the car is quite exotic. There have never been official supplies to Russia. But even for such exclusives, in the online store "Mosavtoshina" you can find tires and wheels.
