Tires on Alfa Romeo Brera (Альфа Ромео)
The Alfa Romeo Brera was in the production range of the Italian brand from 2005 to 2010. The car was a 2-door coupe named after one of the districts of Milan, the city where the company was founded in 2010.Key Features
The car was created based on a 2002 concept designed under the guidance of Giorgetto Giugiaro at the Italdesign design studio. Despite external stylistic similarities, the production model differed significantly from it technically. Mainly due to the limitations of the 159th model platform, which had a classic layout with front-wheel drive. Moreover, to preserve the original proportions of the coupe and give it refined handling, the "cart" was significantly modified, differing from the standard version with a reduced distance between the axles of 175 mm. Another important feature was the "sharp" steering, which allowed the steering wheel to be turned from lock to lock in just 2.2 turns. The engine range, along with other technical components, was partially borrowed from the 159th model. The base versions were equipped with an in-line gasoline "four" with a volume of 2.2 liters, producing 185 horsepower. As an alternative, a 3.2-liter V6 with 260 horsepower was offered, developed by General Motors and used by it mainly in the Australian Holden. Despite significantly increased dynamic capabilities, this version was characterized by a pronounced lack of maneuverability due to the excessive weight of this power unit. The lineup included a modification with a diesel engine - an in-line "four" with a volume of 2.4 liters of the JTD family, developing up to 200 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Depending on the equipment version, the power units worked in pair with 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. As an option for 3.2-liter versions, the all-wheel-drive Torsen system was offered, similar to the one installed on the 159th model with the Q4 index.
In 2008, the next-generation coupe was released, which differed from its predecessor mainly in technical components. First of all, this is a new in-line "four" with a turbocharger, direct fuel injection, and variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust with a volume of 1.75 liters, which develops up to 200 horsepower and 320 Nm, but at the same time weighs significantly less than all other engines installed on this model before. Another important innovation was the appearance in the "base" of an electronically controlled inter-wheel differential e-Q2, which significantly improved directional stability during acceleration and cornering.
In terms of equipment, the coupe did not offer a wide range of trim levels. There were only two - Medium and Sky View. The name of the latter was chosen due to the presence of panoramic glazing of the roof. As part of the 2008 update, the TI version was added to the lineup, the name of which was an abbreviation composed of Turismo Internationalone. In addition to special badges on the engine cover, front wings, and front headrests, enlarged Brembo brake discs, and a retuned "sport" suspension, such cars were distinguished by 19-inch wheels and tires. This and other wheel products for this model can be purchased at the "Mosavtoshina" online store.
