Good tires

I bought Westlake tires on the advice of a friend, and at first, driving on my Japanese car was great, very quiet and comfortable.

I've been driving on Chinese tires for a long time and had no complaints. So, I bought these 225/55/17 tires.

At first, what struck me was that it clearly doesn't match the 225/55 parameters, it's smaller.

Moving on, the sidewall is soft, very soft.

It was balanced normally. The first 500 km were great, quiet and comfortable.

Later, due to the soft sidewall and not worn-out tread, there's no grip at all, and if you drive actively and make turns, this tire is not suitable. At a speed of 130, it's comfortable, but beyond that, my 1.8-ton car starts to float, and I have to constantly steer, and for a long time, I thought there was a problem with the suspension. The brakes also have issues, as the car jerks when braking.

At around 20,000 km, when the tire was cold, it felt like driving on oval wheels, bouncing all the time. Later, vibration appeared at 110 km/h. The final point was when the car started pulling to the right, just pulling and that's it. I replaced half of the suspension, but nothing changed. And then, as an experiment, I put on my 6-year-old Toyo winter tires, and everything was fine, the car drove smoothly, and the vibration disappeared. The wheels were balanced, the disks were even, and the balancing was excellent, but when I put them back on the car, the vibration was still there at high speed. I even tried putting the winter tires on the summer wheels, but it was all the same. In general, fortunately, it's winter now, and I'm on winter tires, but I wouldn't recommend these Westlake tires to anyone who drives actively. As everyone assumed, they're probably just weak, suitable only for calm city driving.

I have driven about three thousand kilometers on these tires. These tires are worth their money. I recommend them for purchase.

Excellent tires. No drawbacks noticed. Quiet. For their price - top.

On dirt, it has a weak grip, I've seen it and on the rocks, the sidewall and tread are easily punctured. I won't buy it again.
