At a temperature of -5°C and below, it makes some noise at the start of movement, then, after about 1 km, the noise subsides. For dry frozen roads and for wet surfaces without snow, it's quite normal. It holds the road decently and brakes on snowy slush and ice, but on a heavy front-wheel drive car, it noticeably wheelspins when starting off.
