I was a bit skeptical about buying TIRES ONLINE so did a lot of research, THESE TIRES are very good, considering the price, I previously had Michelin Primacy but these Star UHP are BETTER IN EVERY WAY, THEY are quieter and smoother and the tread wear IS as good as the Michelins, and for 60 EACH it's a steal, Michelins are 160 EACH, will definitely buy these AGAIN, recommended.

There were numerous of these fitted to fronts: they seemed fine, on the rears of a BMW they were dreadful though - squirming around on a dry road, the car seemed unstable: it was better after 2 - 300 miles, but still poor. Tracking checked OK. Had Nankang NS2 and Falken 912 on rears before and much better.

For two weeks fitting, I drove to south-eastern Germany/Austria, the entire route to the end of France was in heavy rain, and the tires performed so well, I really don't think there's any underperformance now. The tires are an excellent all-rounder, big in wet and enough grip on dry, to handle mountain passes and high-speed sweeping bends and stably on German motorways. I checked wear while still, I'll probably buy another set when I need to.

Excellent tires for any kind of winter weather - snow deep, light or slush, or ice. However, they are not very pleasant to drive on in configuration after a puncture. The sidewalls are a bit too stiff compared to other brands, which make safe tires like Continental (which I have tested both of). Final note: Pirelli probably makes some of the best winter tires.

I have put tires on the front of the car. They are Dunlop Sport Maxx. Good grip on dry asphalt, relatively quiet, good price and looks good. Grip not so great on wet surfaces. I don't know how they'll hold up with only driven about 2000 km with them.

Slippery on icy roads because the rubber is hard. But that's what makes them so durable. The studs hold their place on the tires. The ESP system is recommended on the vehicle used. The price-quality ratio is very good.

Excellent tire for the price. The tires have the same design as the Nankang NS-2, but use a softer compound. This gives better traction at the expense of tire service life (Traction A.A., at a mileage of 240). However, after 10,000 km they are still in very good shape after many spirited drives.

Quite good grip on dry, but dangerous on wet road. Tires are not expensive to buy, but it will cost money to spend more and get a better tire. It's a Chinese tire, almost all of them are poor.

My previous Michelin Pilot. I was afraid to buy TNG Star Performer UHP 225/50 R17 98W XL, but I admit that I'm very satisfied. The tires are like glue, with excellent water drainage. What's interesting - the typical rounded shoulder on the edge checks out surprisingly well on Polish potholes (it passes imperceptibly).
The downside - it's quite loud, but at 60 km/h in the middle, it's not so noticeable

Not a bad tire and looks fairly aggressive tire design. Like most aggressive tires the tread wear is not great, however, if you rotate them and don't drive like you're on fire, you can get 30,000 miles out of them. I took them off at 30k with a couple mm left so you could realistically get 35-40k miles which is a great value.
