Ask for reviews by the end of the season, BUT, I drove 30 kilometers in heavy rain - normally, you need to consider when transitioning from a dry road to a wet one, whether the tires need to cool down or something else - there's a feeling of not such good traction with the road (more noticeably - when you hit rain - the wipers blur a bit at first, then excellent, if you have good wipers), you adapt and go 😁. Aquaplaning holds - good (I have a heavy car - need to consider), didn't go into mud. Wear resistance - we'll see (I think for 2 seasons - OK, depends of course on mileage and driving style). I've been driving on Pirelli for the first season - I'll repeat, subjective opinion will be, as I change to winter tires.

Compared to the Subaru's original equipment, the Yokohama Geolandar doesn't have any significant differences. It's a hard tire, handles well, can maintain a speed of 140 km/h well, and also handles 120 km/h on cruise control for an extended period. The braking is confident, and it performs excellently in the rain.
There is a notable amount of noise from road irregularities (at the manufacturer's recommended pressure), but it doesn't bother me.
I like the tread pattern (small stones don't get stuck), and the sidewalls are smooth.
But! Two tires were from one warehouse and balanced perfectly, while the other two were from a different warehouse and had to be rebalanced on the rims. To avoid adding 60 grams. I trust the tire fitters, I've been driving to them for 15 years, and this is the first time I've encountered such an issue. If compared to Continental and Kumho Ecsta (on a different car), Pirelli will be less comfortable, so consider that. But the Continental wore out quickly on my car, which is typical - the softer and more comfortable it is, the higher the wear. If you store the tires without rims, think about the risk of rebalancing when remounting. But on the other hand, in current conditions, it's a solid 5. What to choose? I also got Kumho for my second car in the winter, they're similar to Continental, but there's more city driving, and Pirelli is for the highway. I think maybe I should have gotten all Pirellis, but I decided to compare - it's interesting.
The price for Continental is excellent. I bought it in winter 23/24

I was choosing between these tires and Chinese ones, but I stopped at Pirelli. The tire was balanced and sat well, no problems arose. I didn't even have to redo the balance after a couple of thousand kilometers. It's slightly noisy, but since I crank up my music louder, it doesn't bother me at all. I managed to hit puddles on the highways, had to emergency brake - I had no complaints about the tire, just like aquaplaning in the far left lane on the MKAD. It brakes very well. The grip on the road is excellent when starting sharply, and there are almost no wheel spins (my old Bridgestone couldn't boast of that lately). At high speeds, it doesn't vibrate. In general, I don't regret my choice, it was the right one. Of course, it's expensive for such a tire, but still better than an outright Chinese one.

I bought Pirelli Ice Zero 2 tires, size 225/40 18, for the winter. I've been driving on them for the second winter, and it was time to replace my summer tires since I'd been driving on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 of the same size for 5 seasons. I chose Pirelli Powergy due to my personal experience with their winter tires and, to be honest, a more or less adequate price for tires from well-known brands. Initially, I considered Chinese tires, but I didn't want to risk it. Although many of my colleagues have tried tires from various Chinese manufacturers, switching to them from well-known brands, and they didn't regret it.
In general, I liked the tires, and subjectively, they are no worse than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 was also ideal in the rain, and I haven't tried the Pirelli in the rain yet, but I hope it won't disappoint me.
These tires are quite quiet, and I think the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 was louder.
