I bought it out of curiosity to replace the friction Goodyear. I wanted to compare one of the most expensive tires with one of the cheapest. The result of the experiment exceeded all expectations. It clears snow like a tractor, grips very well on frozen asphalt, confidently on wet asphalt, and in the spring on hot asphalt it doesn't float, it holds the trajectory. On ice, of course, it grips as much as it can, here the adherents of studded tires can gloat, but in everything else - it's all very, very decent. One minus - after a expensive tire, it seems noisy. In short, the tire is worth its money, no doubt. To those who doubt - don't doubt.

Acquired these tyres on a trip to Bulgaria with METRO for a steal. Balanced to 30g on the wheel! My car is a 275 horsepower rear-wheel drive, and this winter in Krasnodar Krai decided not to show any snow - it happens. European winters have it. Ice took hold in some places. Went with the winter on 245/40 r18 on my E350 4matic. Replaced two Dunlop WinterSport 5 that needed to be replaced. Installed on the front axle. No issues at all. Noise within normal limits. Predictable handling on all types of driveways. Soft but not too soft. Great for its price.

The sensations from driving are comfortable, the rubber is not rigid, it's quiet, stable in icy ruts, and reliable when braking. During my driving experience, I have not encountered better tires for driving in cold weather, neither on my own cars nor on those of my acquaintances. Kormoran Snow has fully justified every penny of its price, with excellent passability, stability, grip, softness, and noise level. The tread depth is simply "tractor-like". Personally, for me, the tires have been a complete delight. HOWEVER, please consider the Astrakhan winter, which ranges from +10 to -15, with no significant ice (maximum 3-5 days) and no significant snow (although it can be lightly sprinkled)

I drive mainly in Moscow. If the roads are clean and ice-free, the handling is simply excellent. But on ice, it's very sad. The car has been thrown to the side many times. You can't even climb a small hill on ice. On snow, it tries to pull through, but sometimes it also throws to the side. When turning on snow and ice, it tends to go sideways. But that also depends on the car. My car has a very light rear end and it often goes sideways on turns in the winter. There is constant wheelspin on pedestrian crossing markings. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tires. But next time, I won't choose this type. My previous tires were better. On the other hand, there is a huge advantage: there are no studs and it doesn't make noise on the road. The sound of the studs used to drive me crazy.
