I've bought my third set of GT winter tires, and previously, the same first-generation model was on my Santa Fe - I drove with them for two winters, and I only lost around 5-6 studs. As for these tires: while there hasn't yet been a real winter, I want to note that they're very soft and comfortable, and I'm also surprised by how quiet the tires are. For their price, these are great tires. They handle loose snow very well. They perform well in slush. On ice, they're so-so. They're a bit noisy on asphalt.
