I decided to share my review of the Cordiant Snow Cross 2. Previously, I drove on the previous model of tires, the impressions remained good, so I decided not to reinvent the wheel and took the updated model. The manufacturer added spikes, which affected the better grip on ice and changed the tread pattern, which had a better effect on water drainage and better passability of snow slush. I always buy tires from distributors. Everything related to cars, I refused marketplaces - the difference in storage and transportation conditions plays a significant role.

In size 255/55R18 (2023 production year), these came with the Tuareg NF car. I've been driving them for the second winter, and the previous owner drove them before me.
To put it briefly, you can buy them.
1. They balance without any issues. They require a bit more weight than premium tires, but it's not critical. Although 1 out of 4 tires requires more weight compared to the other 3.
2. The wear is minimal, all the studs are in place, and they don't come off. The air doesn't leak as written in some reviews.
3. They hold their geometry, and there are no vibrations.
4. There is no hum or noise. However, this is on my car, which has good sound insulation from the factory.
Nuances.
1. They are not suitable for ice. I used to have Hakkapeliitta 7 and 8 on other cars, and they were great on ice, even on front-wheel drive. But these tires were a disappointment.
2. Straight-line stability. For example, when I turn from the street into a courtyard, the rear axle loses traction very early. And on a snowy highway, there is also no confidence.
My verdict. You can buy them if your driving style is quiet, like mine. But for unlocking the potential of a premium car and for more aggressive driving, they are not suitable.

There are no complaints about handling on winter asphalt, it also cuts through slush well, in heavy snowfall it sometimes skids, but the skid is not sharp, it's controllable. It brakes at a solid four.

But the noise reveals unpredictable resonances of the cord. Moreover, the main and loudest resonance is at 58 km/h, which is exactly the city speed. At 62 km/h it's already possible to drive, at 80 km/h it's already comfortable. The highway turns out to be a tire. At 90 km/h the noise increases again, but within reasonable limits.

Hello! I purchased these tires completely by chance. I took my Suzuki with completely bald tires, and since it was already deep autumn and I had to travel on business every other day, I took what was available. After three winters, I can say that the tires are generally satisfactory. Ice, packed snow - no problems, as long as you drive sensibly. City passability is also quite satisfactory, especially since the last winter was very snowy and I had plenty of opportunities to drive through snowdrifts! However, on wet asphalt, not everything is so great. In turns, it tries to pull outward and brakes somewhat slowly, sometimes requiring strong pressure on the pedal at the last moment. Moreover, the speeds are by no means high, and even in winter on frozen asphalt, the car is more controllable. What seriously disappoints me is the noise and ride smoothness! There is a hum from 60 km/h and above. The Vitara is not particularly quiet to begin with, and this makes it even worse. The studs are all in place, which is surprising. Visually, the wear is almost imperceptible. The tires are stored on rims in a partially deflated state (up to 1.0 atm) - nothing is damaged anywhere. After three winters, the tires have become quite annoying, but I'm reluctant to buy new ones. I'll definitely use them for one more winter.

Initially, the tire performed well on snow and ice, with good ride quality overall. However, the manufacturing quality is appalling! ((( The tires have gone through two winter seasons, and I can say that by the end of the first season, the terrible quality began to show. Often, the tires would randomly lose air over several days, unevenly and almost all four - sometimes everything is fine, they hold air, and sometimes literally after a day or two, I need to pump them up, with them losing almost 0.5 atm. of pressure per day, each time differently. Also, by the end of the first season, I discovered a protruding longitudinal cord on two tires - exactly, on the other two, not yet, but on those where it appeared, I've been constantly pulling out protruding wire bits from the rubber throughout the second winter season. During the second season, I took a 750 km trip, 375 km each way, and by the end of the trip, one wheel completely failed - it's junk. I'm still pulling wire bits out of one of the other tires, the other two seem to be holding up, but I don't know for how long.

Price - quality. There is noise, but it's bearable, and if you drive on ice with sense, there are no problems. The studs didn't come out this season, despite the lack of snow in Moscow.

Tires match their cost. Handling on dry and wet surfaces is good. On snow and ice predictable. The only drawback is very noisy.

The car holds confidently, I drove out of the yard after a snowfall by myself. They bite into the ice. They were balanced tightly after purchase, the master fiddled with one wheel a bit, but said that everything is within the norm.
