I was choosing between Amtel Nordmasta and Continental Polara, Amtel was just wooden! And generally comparing most winter tires, I came to the conclusion that Continental is one of the softest. So far, I'm satisfied with my choice. It handles well, both on ice and snow.

Three winter seasons have passed, tread wear is up to 20%, by the end of the third winter the traction on snow-covered roads had worsened. The ABS often kicks in on braking at speeds of 50-60 km/h in city traffic. It was reclassified to summer.

Excellent tire. A bit noisy at 80-85 km/h, great on snow, snow chains are easily shed on acceleration and lane changes, and it can feel some road crown.

This model has left a positive impression, both on the highway and in the city.

The only thing that caused discomfort was when there was a thin layer of ice on the road and when the speed was around 80 km/h, it struggled with oversteer when turning, but that's my mistake, otherwise, I liked the tires and if they are released again, I would buy them, but that would be next season.

I've been driving a Cordiant Polar SL (a "blower") for the third winter now, purchased in autumn 2009 for 1650 rubles. My impressions are entirely positive. The ride is very soft, and on asphalt they're almost inaudible. After two seasons (about 12,000 km) signs of wear are barely noticeable on the front tires. It confidently holds the road on snow and ice. I highly recommend it to everyone!

For the price, it's an excellent non-studded tire. It handles snow well, but with gas, it's better to be more careful, it can easily get stuck on the front-wheel drive.
