Westlake now in Europe

The company Hangzhou Zhongce plans to promote the Westlake brand in European countries. This was stated by the director of imports and exports of the company, Johnson Su, during his visit to Europe.
In the UK, the Commercial Vehicle Show exhibition was recently held, and Westlake Tyres presented a line of tires for buses and trucks at the event.

Before the exhibition, Johnson Su and representatives of the company Eskay Tyres (Westlake's distributor in Europe) held several meetings to identify the most important characteristics of automobile tires for their implementation in European countries. Thus, meetings were held with representatives of Van Alderen, Districash, and Pirelli in several countries.

These meetings, as noted, were mutually beneficial, as they allowed for the identification of the requirements for automobile tires that exist in each market. The director of another distributor, Al Dobowi, Harjiv Kandhari, stated that such working methods have been implemented by his partners for nineteen years. His words about the importance of such meetings were confirmed by Johnson Su, who stated that the best way to learn about the requirements for auto tires is to meet with those who sell tires in a specific region or country.

But the thing is not so much about the differences in roads, climate, or other obvious differences, but about the fact that in European countries, the REACH standard is in effect, which regulates the use of high-aromatic oils in the production of automobile tires. However, as Johnson Su stated, these restrictions do not pose any complexity for Westlake tires, as they meet all EU standards. He also noted that his company will take all possible measures to make Westlake products just as recognizable as those of many other tire brands.

— Over the past few years, the company has been actively increasing sales volumes and investing millions of euros in the latest equipment for tire production and quality control. Some people in the West question the quality of some tires produced in Asia, and we and our partners are working hard to prove that these concerns are unfounded when it comes to the quality of Westlake tires, — says Su.
