In Pirelli, the results of 2024 were summed up

In 2024, Pirelli's sales volumes totaled 6.7 billion euros, up 1.9% compared to 2023, while net profit grew by 1% to 501.1 million euros. The company confirmed its forecast for 2025 and reported that the expected revenue size is 6.8-7 billion euros.

As noted by the company, the growth in indicators last year was due to the successful optimization of the range, especially in the segments of tires for electric vehicles and products with high mounting diameters, which in general corresponds to industry-wide trends.

Pirelli CEO Andrea Casaluci said that last year the company introduced seven new passenger tires, two for the global market - winter and all-season - and five for individual regions, namely for Europe and Asia.

"Among the new products, two stand out: P Zero Winter 2, which won the test by Tyre Reviews, and Cinturato All Season SF 3, recognized as the best in tests of all-season tires by Auto Bild", he said, adding that in 2025, nine new passenger tires will be introduced, created using virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies.

According to Casaluci, in the original equipment segment, the next generation of products will be released, developed specifically for the latest premium and luxury vehicles. At the same time, on the replacement market, regional lines will be updated in accordance with the needs of local motorists, and the company intends to strengthen its positions in individual segments, for example, in the North American all-terrain tire market.

One of the main topics in the tire industry, as in many other industries, has recently been the tariff policy of US President Donald Trump, and Pirelli may be more affected by the introduction of new duties than its competitors, since it mainly serves the North American market through its plants in Mexico, South America, and Europe, although the company does have a plant in Georgia.

As Executive Vice Chairman of the Pirelli Board Marco Tronchetti Provera told, in connection with the possibility of introducing new tariffs, the company is considering the possibility of significant investments in the US in order to increase production capacity within the country.

Unlike other premium tire manufacturers, Pirelli has not left Russia, and regarding how the company is currently operating in the country, Tronchetti Provera said: "In Russia, we are following our plans. We have stated from the very beginning that our goal, as in other countries in the past, is to preserve jobs for our employees and guarantee their well-being, as well as not to create debt. Everything is going well. There is no news. In Russia, we are fulfilling all our goals".
