It has become known that tires from the Japanese automobile tire manufacturer Bridgestone will now be used for the factory equipment of new models of the BMW 3-Series and Peugeot 208.

It is reported that for the equipment of BMW, "touring" class tires will be used, including those with a Run-Flat design. Edwin van der Stad, Director of Sales for the European automotive tire division of Bridgestone, stated that the order is a testament to the ongoing close collaboration with BMW, and that currently, almost all models of all lines of cars from this company are equipped with tires from the Japanese company.

For the BMW 3-Series, the Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT UHP tire in sizes from 17 to 19 inches was chosen. Additionally, for the new car model, apart from this tire, the 16-inch Bridgestone Turanza ER300A Ecopia will also be used.

Regarding the collaboration with Peugeot, the Peugeot 208 car will be equipped with Bridgestone tires. The Bridgestone EP25 model, size 185/65R15 88T, and the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, size 205/45R17 88V, were chosen for it.

Notably, the development of tires for the Peugeot 208 began three years ago. It is noted that such a long development period was necessary because the French car manufacturer has very strict requirements for tires for equipment. The environmental aspect is also significant.
