The Italian company Pirelli continues to modernize its Russian branch in Voronezh. Recently, a meeting was held between the regional authorities and representatives of the company, at which the prospects for further cooperation within the framework of the investment program of LLC "Pirelli Tire Russia" were discussed.

The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexey Gordeev, the General Director of the Pirelli branch in Russia Carlo Costa, the Financial Director of the company Natalia Gorbunova, as well as the General Director of the "Voronezh Tire Plant" Ivan Shkumatov.

Carlo Costa spoke about the company's development plans in the region and also noted that the Voronezh plant is unique for the company, as it is the only one of all the branches that was not built from scratch, but production was introduced at an already existing enterprise. He also emphasized that the modernization of the plant and the retraining of personnel will undoubtedly continue. The company plans to reach maximum production under the Pirelli brand in just two years. The investments in the plant so far have already amounted to 41 million euros, but the management of Pirelli does not intend to stop there. Another 60 million euros will be invested in the enterprise, and the distribution center will be relocated from Moscow to Voronezh.

In turn, Alexey Gordeev expressed interest and readiness for cooperation. According to him, the government is open to further union and guarantees support from its side in the implementation of this promising program. One of the first steps in this direction will be the repair of the road that leads to the plant.
