Description Yokohama Bluearth-XT AE61 245/45 R20 103W XL

The Yokohama Bluearth-XT AE61 summer tire is designed for crossovers and SUVs that are used exclusively on paved roads. In such conditions, it stands out for its stable grip, precise handling, wear resistance, and fuel efficiency.

The tread pattern features high stiffness in the shoulder areas. The massive blocks located in them provide reliable grip when maneuvering, improve handling precision, and allow for easy control of the vehicle's trajectory. The increased longitudinal grooves prevent the formation of a stable water film in the contact patch, which means that the reliability of the grip properties is fully preserved even in heavy rain.

Key features of the Yokohama Bluearth-XT AE61

- solid ribs and massive blocks reduce rolling resistance and wear, providing reliable grip at high speeds;
- increased drainage grooves improve stability on wet surfaces;
- an optimized tread profile and increased stiffness in the shoulder areas increase the tire's mileage due to improved wear resistance.

Technologies

Asymmetric Pattern with Optimal Inside and Outside Design

1) Reinforced inner shoulder
The high-rigidity shoulder area provides excellent steering stability. The high-rigidity tread block provides resistance to uneven wear.

2) Inner narrow groove
Provides circumferential traction on wet roads.

3) Optimized arrangement of lamella grooves
The air pumping noise has been reduced by optimizing the arrangement of non-penetrating grooves and dispersing the contact time of the grooves with the

FIVE VARIANTS OF TREAD PATTERN

Acoustic pressure modeling allows to determine the optimal tread pattern for five types of slopes. The pattern noise, noticeable on hard-surfaced roads, is suppressed.

Optimized Road Contact Surface Pattern

The smooth contact surface shape and uniform contact pressure ensure resistance to uneven wear and excellent straight-line stability.

1) The smooth contact surface shape contributes to resistance to uneven wear.
2) The optimized contact surface shape along the central zone length provides stable straight-line driving.

HIGHEST LEVEL OF TRACTION ON WET ROADS AND FUEL EFFICIENCY

Nano-rubber mixture includes silica and polymer

2) Silica affecting wet grip
3) Polymer affecting wet grip
4) Polymer affecting fuel efficiency

UNIQUE "A.R.T." RUBBER BLENDING TECHNOLOGY

Improved dispersion and homogeneity of silica in the mixture composition.
*A.R.T. = advanced reactive mixing technology

NEW COMPOUND FORMULATION TECHNOLOGY IMPROVES WET BRAKING PERFORMANCE

A.R.T. technology mixing involves mixing with precise control of the reaction.
Better dispersion compared to traditional mixing technology. The braking distance on a wet road is reduced when using the same composition.

Yokohama Bluearth-XT AE61: quiet and comfortable tyres for crossovers

The model is of particular interest to crossover owners who value acoustic comfort and a smooth ride in urban and highway use. The main advantage is confident traction on wet roads at moderate speeds, although during sharp maneuvers above 140 km/h the behavior becomes less predictable.

Who is it suitable for: These tyres are designed for calm operation of crossovers and SUVs mainly on asphalt roads. Buyers more often note the quiet operation — numerous reviews confirm the low level of noise at speeds up to 120 km/h. The soft sidewall provides comfortable absorption of irregularities, which is especially noticeable in the city and on cracks in the road surface. Good grip on a wet road allows you to feel confident in the rain without the effect of aquaplaning at reasonable speeds. The directional stability on a straight line is pleasing with stability — the car does not stray, the trajectory is held clearly. The price-to-quality ratio is often compared to premium brands like Michelin or Continental, but with a lower cost. For family use without aggressive driving, this is a rational choice with an emphasis on passenger comfort. Russian production is encountered more often than imported, and most buyers remain satisfied with the quality.

Who should consider an alternative: It's better to choose a different class if you prefer an aggressive driving style with sharp lane changes and high speeds in corners. For constant trips above 140 km/h, it's worth considering more rigid models with a reinforced sidewall. It's less suitable for those who require maximum precision handling at the limit of the vehicle's capabilities. In regions with frequent deep aquaplaning on highways, it's more reasonable to look for tyres with more pronounced water drainage. If ideal geometry of each tyre is critical for you, it's worth checking the set at a tyre fitting shop when purchasing.

Main reason for choice: The main argument for purchase is the combination of comfort, quietness, and confident grip on wet roads at a reasonable price. The practical benefit is that you get characteristics close to the premium segment without overpaying for the brand. A reasonable compromise - the softness of the sidewall provides comfort, but requires a calm driving style at high speeds. The level of expectations should be kept realistic: this is not a sports tyre, but a comfortable everyday model. For calm city and highway operation up to 120-130 km/h, the purchase seems justified. The final advice is - if acoustic comfort and smoothness are a priority for the family, the model is worth taking.
