Initially, the summer tire Kumho HP91 Crugen was developed for North American customers who value comfort over handling in such products. This model fully meets these requirements, but at the same time demonstrates properties inherent to the best tires in the High Performance category.
Multifunctional Tread
Aiming to give the tire maximum performance under any conditions, South Korean specialists applied an asymmetrical tread. It contains elements that, due to their location, shape, and size, form several functional zones. Having different characteristics, they interact with each other, working as a single whole, which gives the tire an almost ideal balance between all operational properties without compromising any of them.
C-Cut 3D Technology
The blocks of the shoulder zones have an original design of the sidewalls from the central part of the tread. Their shape is optimized to additionally increase the throughput of the drainage grooves located between the blocks. This significantly increases resistance to aquaplaning, especially when maneuvering and turning.
Key Features of Kumho HP91 Crugen
- Asymmetrical tread with functional zones gives the tire an excellent balance between all main operational properties;
- Improved resistance to aquaplaning thanks to C-Cut 3D technology;
- Low noise and vibration level due to the multi-step arrangement of elements in the longitudinal ribs;
