The Yokohama Avid W4S model is installed on passenger cars, was developed specifically for sports cars, coupes and sedans. It is intended for use in the summer season. The material of manufacture is a high-strength multicomponent rubber compound, which provides resistance to rapid and uneven wear, as well as mechanical damage. Large blocks and a large surface area of the contact patch provide good traction on dry road surfaces. Traction on wet roads is enhanced by the rapid and efficient removal of water, which is provided by four annular channels and smaller transverse grooves.
