The summer tire Yokohama Advan Sport V107 is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger car models, including crossovers. In the production line of the Japanese company, it replaced the model with the V105 index, surpassing it in terms of coupling properties, while maintaining an excellent level of comfort for its category. It is one of the first tires of the brand, released as part of the Grand Design 2020 strategy, which implies the use of tires, first and foremost, as part of the primary equipment of premium brand passenger cars. This implies exceptional manufacturing quality and a corresponding level of operational properties, which are characteristic features of the Advan Sport V107 model.
The design of the tire's tread pattern is distinguished by a multi-step arrangement of elements. This significantly reduces the level of noise and vibration, especially on uneven roads, and also promotes better load distribution across the contact patch, which improves resistance to abrasive wear.
In any conditions, the tire demonstrates excellent traction and intense deceleration. This is largely due to the use of numerous curved lamellas and slots, which form a large number of transverse gripping edges in the contact patch. This solution is most effective on wet surfaces. It's worth noting the presence of enlarged longitudinal drainage grooves. Their volume is more than enough to minimize the risk of aquaplaning even at high speeds.
The balance of the tire's handling qualities is largely ensured by the optimized profile of the tread part of the protector. It gives the contact patch a practically rectangular shape with smoothed corners, which significantly increases the coupling properties, reduces rolling resistance, and increases resistance to abrasive wear, especially when maneuvering. At the same time, the compound containing silicon dioxide and special polymers provides excellent grip on wet surfaces and prevents wear.
