In Iceland, the presentation of new all-season tires Yokohama took place
Yokohama has conducted a presentation in Iceland of its latest all-season tire, the Yokohama BluEarth-AllSeason2, primarily intended for the European market and replacing the Yokohama BluEarth-4S AW21 model, which was introduced in 2018.
The all-season tire segment is currently the fastest-growing on the European market, and Yokohama says the new tire not only features significantly improved driving characteristics on snow, dry, and wet asphalt but also meets the requirements of European drivers by providing long service life and fuel efficiency.
"In Europe, motorists increasingly expect one set of tires to be suitable for a wide range of conditions," noted Gregorio Borgo, President of Yokohama Europe. "By launching the BluEarth-AllSeason2, we are offering a solution that combines safety, economy, and convenience for everyday use, tailored to the dynamically evolving segment."

Takashi Maki, Managing Director of Yokohama Europe, added that the premiere of the new tires reflects the strategic importance of the European market, which plays an increasingly significant role in the company's global expansion. "As our performance in the region continues to grow, we are strengthening our focus on Europe by expanding our portfolio adapted to the needs of the local market," he stated.
A key factor in the development of the BluEarth-AllSeason2 was the HAICoLab AI-based technology, which allows analyzing tread pattern options and tire construction, as well as their potential impact on tire behavior in real-world conditions. Using AI, developers have increased the evenness of load distribution in the contact patch and expanded its area by 5%, which, according to the company, has significantly improved traction and handling in all weather conditions.
The new tire features a directional V-shaped tread pattern, which accelerates water removal and reduces the risk of aquaplaning, while the central zone is equipped with reinforced blocks of increased stiffness, designed to improve informative handling and directional stability. Additionally, the 3D-lamella design has been refined to enhance the edge effect and reduce block deformation, stabilizing the contact patch during acceleration, braking, and cornering, and the A.R.T. rubber mixing technology has improved silica dispersion and increased the number of contact points with the wet surface by 40%, enhancing safety in the rain.

The tire's construction has also been refined, featuring a lightweight metal cord breaker, which has helped reduce rolling resistance by 8% compared to the previous generation tires. Furthermore, the resource has been increased by 35%, and the noise level of the new tires, depending on the size, is either better or remains the same.
Regarding winter performance, it is noted that the Cold Tech technology (also used in the creation of winter tires, including the Scandinavian type) has been utilized, which improves handling on snow by increasing the contact patch.
Sales of the BluEarth-AllSeason2 will start next winter season in September 2026, and the tires will be available in 74 sizes from 175/65 R15 to 295/35 R21, intended for both passenger cars and crossovers/SUVs, including electric vehicles. In recent years, the company has also introduced models adapted to the requirements of the European market, such as the summer ADVAN Sport V107 and ADVAN Sport EV, as well as the winter ADVAN Winter V907.
