Another important component in ensuring ice traction is the S-shaped lamellas, which are arranged in large numbers on each of the tread elements. When in contact with the road surface, each of these lamellas opens, forming an additional edge of traction with the road. At the same time, the S-shaped shape of the walls allows them to be tightly fixed to each other, ensuring high stiffness of the tread blocks.
