Rauffan Snowmaster W1 - studdedless winter tyre for passenger cars. The model features a symmetrical directional tread pattern and is available in sizes with a rim diameter from 13 to 20 inches. The tread pattern is formed by wide diagonal grooves that converge in the central part and open up towards the shoulder areas. The resulting V-shaped network leaves short paths for water and snow slush to be drained from the contact patch. The tread does not have a solid longitudinal rib: instead, rows of separate blocks are located in the centre, forming transverse edges across the entire width of the tread.
Each block is divided by several thin wavy lamellas. The dense lamellation increases the total length of the working edges involved in snow driving, and the differently directed arrangement of the slots allows them to work both during acceleration and braking, as well as during lateral loads. Large elements in the shoulder areas are separated by open transverse grooves and continue the directional geometry of the central part.
The certified range includes standard and reinforced XL versions, as well as options with different speed and load indices.
