Summer passenger tire Pirelli PZero Trofeo Race is installed on the most powerful and dynamic passenger cars, including supercars. It is a highly specialized product, as it is intended for use exclusively on sports tracks during the so-called "track days". Thanks to its exceptional grip and precision handling, it allows an objective assessment of the effectiveness of extremely "charged" cars. It is designed for use only on dry asphalt.
Compound with HAOF
The tire's tread is made from a rubber compound that, in addition to other components, contains high-aromatic oils. The smallest particles of this substance enhance the intermolecular bonds between all components of the compound. This significantly increases its strength and resistance to tearing and stretching. As a result, the tread has a pronounced ability to maintain its integrity under extremely heavy operating conditions.
Optimized tread pattern
The tire features a tread with an asymmetrical arrangement of elements, distributed across two functional zones. The first zone is located on the outer side of the tread and occupies about two-thirds of its area. This section features two very wide longitudinal ribs. The absence of any gaps and the extremely large size of these elements provide them with extremely high resistance to deformation. These features provide the tire with excellent grip and directional stability during straight-line driving and maneuvering.
The inner side of the tread has a more open design, formed by two rows of blocks. The transverse edges of these elements provide the tire with performance during longitudinal accelerations. It's worth noting the P-shaped design of the blocks located on the very edge of the tread. It gives these elements additional resistance to deformation, which provides better stability of the tire's grip properties during acceleration and deceleration.
Cooling grooves
The manufacturer does not recommend using this tire on wet surfaces. Nevertheless, its tread contains a sufficient number of grooves. These elements have a dual function. In addition to drainage, they prevent excessive heating of the tread, which significantly increases its service life.
