Pirelli hosted a supercar parade at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The company Pirelli organized a parade of supercars with a total power of over 10,000 horsepower at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK to celebrate the debut of the fifth generation of summer tires P Zero, as well as the 40th anniversary of the original model, which pioneered the Ultra-High Performance (UHP) segment in 1985. Over the past decades, P Zero tires have been fitted to the world's most iconic cars, and over 3,000 versions of the tires have been developed, all of which, as the manufacturer emphasizes, have been focused on maximizing safety through continuous technological innovation.

The supercars drove along the track on the famous Goodwood hill, led by the F40, which was equipped with first-generation P Zero tires during its premiere in 1987. The Lancia Delta S4 Stradale followed, which was fitted with "zeroth" generation tires two years earlier, featuring a unique tread pattern that allowed the combination of slick, rain, and intermediate tire properties from motorsport.

The parade also included the Lamborghini Urus SE crossover, the first car to be "shod" in fifth-generation P Zero tires, and the electric hypercar Lotus Evija, which became the most powerful production model to be equipped with P Zero Trofeo R tires with the Elect marking, which Pirelli uses for tires adapted for use on electric and hybrid cars. The McLaren Artura and Pagani Utopia Roadster were also showcased, which were the first to receive "smart" Cyber Tyres tires as standard, capable of collecting and transmitting various data to the car's electronic systems in real-time using sensors. Meanwhile, P Zero R tires were homologated for the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, "embodifying a balance between efficiency, safety, and versatility".

Also attending Goodwood was the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante convertible with a V12 engine, the future of mobility was demonstrated by the BMW Vision Driving Experience concept car, and the parade was completed by a Formula 1 car equipped with 18-inch P Zero tires, thus reminding that it is in motorsport that Pirelli's tire technologies are created.

Pirelli does not forget about ecology, and at Goodwood, the company, together with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), presented the world's first production tire made from more than 70% biomaterials and recycled materials. The production of P Zero tires uses natural rubber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and at the first stage, they will be available with a diameter of 22 inches for the Range Rover.

Pirelli's P Zero innovations are also aimed at reducing the environmental impact: at the Festival of Speed, Pirelli and JLR - Jaguar Land Rover presented the world's first production tire made from more than 70% biomaterials and recycled materials. This tire, also made from natural rubber certified by FSC, was developed specifically for P Zero and will initially be available for some 22-inch Range Rover wheel options.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of P Zero, the company also recreated the original tires with the 1985 design, which will be released in a limited edition of 40 sets and added to the Pirelli Collezione range, which includes tires for famous classic cars. Like all tires in this family, the recreated P Zero tires have an authentic design but are made using modern materials and technologies, which increases safety.
