The Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico summer tire, according to the recommendations of the Italian manufacturer, is designed for passenger cars and crossovers with engines of "moderately high displacement". It is characterized by an ideal balance of operational properties, combining sporty handling with a comfortable, quiet and smooth ride.
The tread pattern has a directional asymmetric design with four longitudinal drainage grooves. This solution simultaneously provides resistance to aquaplaning, directional stability and precision handling. When cornering, these properties are ensured by the stiffness of the shoulder areas, which contain large blocks connected by special "bridges". They also reduce the level of noise from the elements in the central part, preventing their spread outward.
The inner side of the tread contains a large number of transverse edges. They allow the tire to effectively realize the traction of a powerful engine, intensively slow down on wet pavement. The curved shape of the grooves at the same time reduces the level of noise and rolling resistance, additionally reduces the risk of aquaplaning due to the increased speed of water removal from under the contact patch.
