First-generation Nordman tires were produced at the Kirov Tire Plant. The tread pattern was developed by Nokian Tyres specialists, but the materials and technologies used were the same as those for "ordinary" domestic tires. This production scheme was called off-take. After the "divorce" of Nokian Tyres and Amtel (which includes the Kirov Tire Plant), the production of Nordman tires was moved to China.

Nordman 2 tires are excellent low-noise tires for cars, designed by professionals of the company specifically for northern states. In any weather, such tires will provide stable and comfortable driving.

The specially designed tread pattern of the Nokian Nordman 2 tire has excellent grip on a wet road, prevents aquaplaning, and allows water to be removed from under the tire at any speed.

Nokian Nordman 2 tires were designed for maximum preservation in the most diverse threatening situations and environmental friendliness. This task was accomplished through the introduction of the latest solutions and the invention of a phenomenal rubber compound for the tire tread, which was called "full silica".

These tires have excellent traction characteristics when operating in any weather conditions. Nokian Nordman 2 tires are equipped with an innovative tread compound made of rubber and solid lamination, which made it possible to increase the grip on wet and slippery surfaces.

The tires are marked by an unusually high degree of protection in the presence of a difficult climatic situation. Nordman 2 is considered one of the best and recognized models on the market, mainly due to its splashplaning characteristics.

An increase in the life of the spikes, a qualitative improvement in traction - that is, an increase in the strength and comfort of the car while driving, is facilitated by a special studding system.
