The Nokian All Weather+ all-season tire was developed with consideration for the climatic conditions of Northern European countries. Unlike most of its "classmates", the model demonstrates reliability in handling not only on wet, but also on snowy surfaces, characterized by stable coupling properties, directional stability, along with fuel efficiency and acoustic comfort.
The tread pattern is made in an asymmetric design, featuring a division into functional zones. One of them is the inner side of the tread, saturated with elongated curved grooves directed against the direction of movement. These elements, using the rotation of the wheel, intensively drain from under the tire not only water, but also its mixture with thawed snow and road slush. It is worth noting the use of Coanda technology, which is a special design of grooves, where there are ramp-like protrusions that direct and accelerate the water flow from the longitudinal grooves into the transverse ones. This enhances the tire's resistance to aquaplaning, maintaining this ability even with significant wear on its tread. The blocks, located in groups of several elements, with virtually continuous transverse walls, provide increased traction and resistance to lateral skidding in such conditions. The effectiveness of the tread on snowy surfaces is ensured by hundreds of "three-dimensional" lamellas. These slots form a corresponding number of sharpened edges, located at different angles relative to the direction of movement. The "three-dimensional" profile of their walls adds to the coupling properties on snow excellent directional stability and increased precision in handling. It should be noted that a fully "winter" rubber compound is used, which enhances the effectiveness of the lamellas, giving the tread increased elasticity at low temperatures.
Main features of Nokian All Weather+:
- Coanda technology enhances the flow of water directed from the longitudinal grooves into the transverse ones;
- hundreds of 3D lamellas, located at different angles, provide excellent traction and braking intensity on the most slippery winter surfaces;
- the "winter" composition of the rubber compound keeps the tread elastic at low temperatures, increasing the effectiveness of the tire on snowy and icy surfaces;
- triangular cavities in the shoulder blocks on the outer side of the tread increase the coupling properties on snow
