Being one of the flagship models, the summer tire Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is distinguished by very high technical characteristics, corresponding to the operational properties of passenger cars for which it is intended. These are their most powerful and high-speed modifications, the manufacturers of which impose quite stringent requirements on tires. They are met thanks to the use of the most modern technologies and materials.
Refined handling and lightning-fast reactions to driver actions
One of such innovations applied in the design of this tire is the Dynamic Response technology. It represents a whole complex of technical solutions aimed at ensuring refined handling and ultra-fast reactions to steering wheel turns. In particular, the French tire makers applied a "hybrid" carcass, the multilayer structure of which is made from various materials - aramid and nylon fibers. They give the tire increased resistance to dynamic deformations.
In addition, the tread profile, as well as the design of its pattern, are designed in such a way that the size and shape of the contact patch do not change under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. As a result, the stability of the coupling properties is ensured, which has a positive effect on handling - the behavior of the car becomes reliable and predictable.
Improved grip on a wet road
No less extensive complex of technical solutions was used to ensure maximum grip on a wet road. The tread rubber compound includes so-called "functional elastomers". Special polymer compounds provide the tread with increased tensile strength, which, in combination with an increased silica content, provides the tire with excellent grip on a cold, wet road. At the same time, wide longitudinal drainage grooves prevent the occurrence of aquaplaning even at high speeds.

Golf 6 GTI
Mitsubishi PC4s - more than satisfied!
Previous tyres on my car were Bridgestone Turanza ER300s from the factory and Toyo Proxes T1 Sports
Neither of them compares with my current Michelin PC4s
Bridgestone ER300s were good tyres in general. I drove on them for 2 seasons, including long trips across Russia. They showed no signs of dry- Vehicle:

I replaced my PS3 with a PS4 after six years of driving. I had no intention of changing them until I blew out two tires on the M4 in April due to screws lying on the road. The person who lost them should burn in hell! Both times, the screws were new and had fallen off the boxes during transport over the bridge, before exiting onto Lenigrad Highway from M4 towards the city center. Now, about the PS4. Very spirited tyres! It grips well and doesn't need warming up, unlike many other tyres. After a season of spirited cornering, the tread depth of mine (225/40) had worn off by 30%.
