Contact patch with a reserve of area
The model features a tread formed by four longitudinal ribs. This is a geometry of uniform stress distribution. The result:
- a wide and flat contact patch — the load from the axis does not puncture the rubber pointwise, but is distributed over the entire width;
- fewer deformations — abrasive wear of the central blocks is reduced;
- course stability — the car does not stray on a snowy track.
Silence without loss of traction
Engineers applied a two-height block architecture in the shoulder area. These elements form effective grips. When moving on loose snow, the side faces work like scoops, clearing the mass and creating a support. They also suppress noise — blocks of different heights come into contact not synchronously, disrupting resonant frequencies.
Central ribs
The center's area of responsibility is handling on ice and compacted snow. Here, they abandoned boring rectangular blocks. Elements of irregular shape with wavy lamellas, formed into two ribs, create variable stiffness. When turning the wheel, they do not "fold", but work as independent gripping edges. The wavy shape of the lamellas increases the length of the gripping edge by 30-40% compared to straight cuts.
Reliable protection
The model features a drainage system designed from a combination of wide circumferential channels and frequent transverse cuts. Its throughput is such that even under full load, the tire pushes water and slush outward, not inward into the contact patch. The result is predictability on a wet road in any winter weather.
